Styling & Publishing Feeds

Event Display Setup

The Event plan is designed specifically for displaying social media feeds on digital signage, TVs, and live event screens. It includes features optimized for large displays and continuous operation.

Event Plan Features

  • 5-minute source refresh: Content updates every 5 minutes

  • Unlimited views: No restrictions on how many times your feed is displayed

  • Optimized templates: Layouts designed for large screens and audience viewing

  • Full-screen display: Clean presentation and auto-scrolling option

  • Manual moderation: Control exactly what appears on screen

Event plan feeds cost $200/month and are perfect for conferences, trade shows, retail displays, corporate lobbies, and live events where real-time social content enhances the experience.

Setting Up an Event Feed

  1. Create a new feed in your Curator dashboard.

  2. Set your Feed to Needs approval. Enable manual moderation to control what appears.

  3. Connect your social media sources (hashtags work great for live events)

  4. On Publish section, switch from Website to Event Style

  5. Set display preferences for post width, scroll speed, and other styling preferences.

Event feed styles cannot display newly approved posts in real time. To make the newly approved posts appear, you’ll need to manually refresh the Display page by clicking Refresh on the panel.

Best Practices for Event Displays

  • Use event hashtags: Pull content from attendees using a specific hashtag

  • Moderate proactively: Review and approve posts before they go live

  • Keep text readable: Choose larger fonts and high-contrast colors

  • Test visibility: Ensure posts are readable from expected viewing distances

  • Monitor continuously: Have someone checking the feed during live events

Common Technical Setup

Display your event feed by:

  1. Opening the feed URL in a full-screen browser on your display device

  2. Setting the browser to kiosk mode to hide toolbars

  3. Disabling screen sleep and power saving

Common Use Cases

  • Conference social walls showing attendee tweets and photos

  • Wedding displays with guest photos from Instagram

  • Retail stores showcasing customer reviews and social posts

  • Corporate lobbies featuring employee highlights

  • Trade show booths with live product mentions

Test your event feed on the actual display hardware before your event. Screen size, resolution, and ambient lighting can affect readability.
