Styling & Publishing Feeds

Post Click Behavior Options

When visitors click posts in your Curator feed, you can control what happens—whether posts open in a lightbox overlay, link to the original social media post, or don't respond to clicks at all.

Default Behavior

By default, clicking a post in your feed opens a lightbox that displays the full post content, images, and engagement details. This keeps visitors on your website while they browse content.

Linking to Original Posts

You can configure posts to link directly to the original content on the source platform (Instagram, Facebook, etc.). This is useful when you want to drive traffic to your social media profiles.

Link behavior depends on your feed configuration and the template you're using. Some templates are optimized for lightbox viewing, while others work better with external links.

You can find and set the post's option behaviors by going to Publish > Post tab > Clicking a post

  • Opens popup — The default and opens the post’s lightbox

  • Goes to source — Redirects users to the post’s original page

  • Does nothing — No action will be triggered when the post is clicked.

Test your click behavior on mobile devices. Lightbox overlays should be easy to close, and external links should open in a new tab to avoid navigating users away from your site.

The lightbox includes:

  • Full post text and media

  • Author information and social icons

  • Navigation arrows to browse between posts

  • Close button to return to the feed
