Curating Content

Setting Up Rules

Rules automate your moderation workflow by approving, rejecting, or deleting posts based on criteria you define. This saves time and keeps your feed clean without constant manual review.

Rules don’t affect your source or control which posts are pulled into your feed. They’re only used to moderate the content pulled on your feed.

Creating a Rule

  1. Go to your Curate section

  2. Navigate to Rules

  3. Click Add Rule

  4. Configure the rule:

    • Name — Internal label for the rule

    • Feed — Which feed the rule applies to

    • Source — Choose specific sources or apply to all

    • Action — Select Approve, Reject, or Trash (permanent delete)

  5. Click Save

Rule Types

Post Attribute — Filter by specific characteristics:

  • Text contains/doesn't contain keywords

  • Has image or video

  • Post's handles or the @username

  • Is a reply or repost

Profanity — Detects posts with obscene language.

Post Limit — Caps daily approvals per source.

We recommend setting your Feed to Needs Approval first, and choose the action Approve when using this Type. As this Type stops once the defined daily cap is reached.

Similar Posts — Finds posts with duplicate captions

Rule Matching

When creating post attribute rules, choose:

  • Match any — Trigger if one condition is met

  • Match all — Trigger only if every condition is met

Common Use Cases

  • Block spam — Reject posts containing "buy now," "click here," or promotional keywords

  • Auto-approve branded content — Approve posts from specific usernames or containing your hashtag

  • Remove profanity — Trash posts flagged for obscene language

  • Limit duplicates — Reject similar posts to keep your feed varied

Choosing Trash as the action will permanently delete the post from your Feed. The original post remains on the social platforms—Curator only deletes its copy.
