Styling & Publishing Feeds

Website vs Event Feed Settings

Curator offers different feed configurations depending on whether you're embedding on a website or displaying on a digital screen at an event. Understanding the differences helps you choose the right setup.

Website Feeds

Standard feeds designed for embedding on websites using an HTML snippet.

Key Features:

  • Embed code with <div> container and <script> tag

  • Responsive design that adapts to page layout

  • Refresh rates based on plan (24h Free, 60min Pro, 15min Business)

  • View limits apply (2k Free, 10k Pro, unlimited Business+)

  • Auto or manual moderation

  • Optimized for user interaction (clicks, scrolling, lightbox)

Best For:

  • Company websites and landing pages

  • E-commerce product pages

  • Blog and content sites

  • Marketing campaigns

Event Feeds

Specialized feeds optimized for full-screen displays at live events and on digital signage.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited views (no usage caps)

  • Full-screen display mode

Can You Use Both?

Yes! You can create separate feeds for your website and events, or use the same feed in both contexts. However, Event plan features (5min refresh, etc.) only work when using the Event plan.

If you're running a hybrid setup (website + event), create two separate feeds so you can optimize each for its specific use case and maintain different moderation settings.

Choosing the Right Type

Choose Website Feed if:

  • Embedding on your company website or marketing pages

  • Users will interact with posts (clicking, viewing details)

  • You need responsive layout that fits page design

  • 15-60 minute refresh is sufficient

Choose Event Feed if:

  • Displaying on TV screens or digital signage

  • Source must update every 5 minutes for live events

  • You need full-screen, non-interactive display

  • High visibility and readability from a distance
