Sending Rights Requests
Use the Curator Chrome Extension to request permission from Instagram creators before featuring their content in your feeds.
Before you begin: Install the Curator Chrome Extension and log into your Instagram Business account.
Send a request
In Chrome, navigate to the Instagram post you want permission for (must be an image post)
Make sure you're logged into your Instagram Business account
Click the Curator icon in your Chrome toolbar
In the extension popup, log into your Curator account if prompted
Select the Curator account and feed where you want to save this request (select the account with Rights Management enabled)
Review or customize the permission message template
Preview the generated comment
Click to generate the comment — the extension will create the comment on Instagram for you
Manually click "post" on Instagram to post the comment
Do not edit the hashtag in the comment. Curator uses it to track approvals. Changing it will break the monitoring system.
Once posted, the extension saves the request to your selected feed and begins monitoring for the creator's response.
What the creator sees
Your comment will appear on their Instagram post requesting permission to feature their content. The message includes:
Your customized request text
Instructions for how to approve (tag your account + use the monitoring hashtag)
The monitoring hashtag (e.g., #curatorapproved)
The creator responds by replying to your comment with both your Instagram username tagged and the hashtag included.
Multiple requests
You can send as many rights requests as you need. Each request is tracked individually in your Rights Management dashboard at app.curator.io/curate/rights.
