Connecting Social Accounts

Revoking and Removing Connections

You can disconnect social accounts from Curator at any time, either from your Curator dashboard or directly from the social platform. This removes Curator's access to pull new content from that account.

Removing Connections in Curator

To disconnect an account from your Curator dashboard:

  1. Go to Social Connections in your dashboard (or visit app.curator.io/company/connections)

  2. Find the account you want to remove

  3. Click the remove or disconnect option for that connection

Removing a connection stops Curator from pulling new content. Existing posts from that account may remain in your feeds until you manually remove them or delete the source.

Revoking Access from Social Platforms

You can also revoke Curator's access directly from each social platform's settings:

  • Facebook – Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Business integrations, find Curator.io, and remove it

  • Instagram – Go to Settings > Website permissions > Apps and websites, find Curator.io, and remove it

  • Twitter/X – Go to Settings > Security and Account Access > Apps and Sessions > Connected Apps, revoke Curator

  • TikTok – In TikTok's mobile app, go to Settings and privacy > Security and permissions > Apps and services permissions, remove Curator

  • Slack – Go to Tools & settings > Manage apps, find Curator.io, and remove it

  • Threads – Go to Settings > Account > Website permissions, find Curator.io, and remove it

  • Reddit – Go to Settings > Privacy > Third-party app authorizations > find Curator.io, and revoke access

After revoking access, reconnect through your Curator dashboard if you want to restore the connection.

What Happens After Removal

When you remove a connection:

  • Curator stops fetching new posts from that account

  • Sources using that account as a source will stop updating

  • Previously pulled posts may remain visible in your feeds

  • You can reconnect the same account later without losing feed configurations

To completely remove content from a disconnected account, delete the associated sources in your Sources section after revoking the connection.

Reconnecting Accounts

If you need to restore a connection, simply add the account again through your dashboard's Add Source or Social Connections section. You'll go through the OAuth authorization process again.

For help reconnecting expired or broken connections, see reconnecting social accounts.
