Confirming an Instagram Business Account is linked to a Facebook Page

Before creating an Instagram Source (Hashtag, IG Account etc) Facebook/Meta requires that you connect the Curator App with a Personal Facebook Account / Login that is an administrator of a Facebook Page that is linked to an Instagram Business Account.

If you see the error You don't have and Instagram Professional Accounts Linked to a Page (see below) while trying to create an Instagram Connection, it probably means that you are not an administrator of a Facebook Page or you don't have a Facebook Page linked to an Instagram Account.

If your Facebook Page is not linked to an Instagram Business Account you can head to the Setting up an Instagram Business Account to get that set up.

How to confirm that a Facebook Page has a linked Instagram Business Account

Log into facebook.com

Click on your profile icon (top right), select the name of your Facebook Page, in the example below the Facebook Page is Curator.io (1. in screenshot), if you don’t see the page you might need to click See all profiles (2. in screenshot).

Once you’ve switched to the Facebook Page, click on the Page profile icon (top right again, 1. In screenshot below), then on Settings & Privacy, then Settings (2. below).

On the Setting page click on Linked Accounts:

If you have an Instagram Business account connected to the Facebook Page you should see a screen similar to this the example below, with details of the Instagram Account in the body of the page (2. In the example below shows the @curator_io Instagram Account is connected to the Curator.io Facebook Page).

If you don’t have an Instagram Account connected to the Facebook Page you’ll see a page similar to the one below, with a button to Connect Account. If this is the case you need to follow the steps here.
